AC Milan captain Massimo Ambrosini is pleased with his new contract.
The midfielder committed his future to the club until June 2012 on Thursday night after holding talks with Vice-President Adriano Galliani.
"It was what we all wanted," said the player whose previous agreement was set to expire next month. "I'm really happy, it all went well.
"I didn't really want to talk about my other options. There was interest in me, but nothing concrete. I only had one desire..."
