The 17 year-old Brazilian striker said today: "I don't expect problems. I left home when I was 13: from Pato Branco to Porto Alegre - over 600 kilometres, nevertheless I did not have any doubts.
"I have grown up quickly, far away from my family and even if now the distances are multiplied I'm sure that I will not have problems. Sure, I'll miss my family, but [Milan directors] Leonardo and Ariedo Braida have told me that Milan is like a family, therefore all will be well."
Pato could be given Andriy Shevchenko's old No7 shirt and he added: "I will decide with the club. I'd like No11, but that is Alberto Gilardino's, who is a champion like [Pippo] Inzaghi and naturally Ronaldo: we have a great attack."
