AC Milan have sent Leonardo back to Brazil to thrash out terms for Fluminense defender Thiago Silva.

"I am very proud that Milan are considering me as a replacement for Paolo Maldini," enthused the Brazil international yesterday.

However, a move to Milan is not guaranteed as Leonardo faces competition from city rivals Inter.

Meanwhile, Milan ace Kaka is urging Rossoneri directors to consider Bayern Munich's young Brazilian defender, Breno.
