AC Milan could send Andriy Shevchenko back to Chelsea next month.
The Daily Mail says the 32-year-old returned to the San Siro last summer but he has started just one Serie A match this season and is believed to have asked for a move when the January transfer window opens.
Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti has strikers Filippo Inzaghi, Alexandre Pato and Marco Boriello plus Kaka and Ronaldinho to provide the goal-power with David Beckham arriving in a month's time for a three-month loan.
The one-time hero of Milan has become surplus to requirements and a move back to his native Ukraine is an option.
