AC Milan's push for Juventus captain Alessandro del Piero is gaining momentum after Antonio Cassano's heart problems this week. Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani expressed interest in Del Piero after it was announced by Juve that his contract would not be renewed at the end of the season.
The Rossoneri are considering the addition of a new forward given that Cassano could be out of action for the next six months following heart surgery.
A move to Milan is now on for Del Piero, 37, and he could be tempted into an immediate January switch.
