Oguchi Onyewu is set to join Dutch club FC Twente on loan from Italian giants AC Milan.
The 28-year old USA defender has found it tough to break into Max Allegri's first team at the San Siro and is likely to spend the rest of the season with the reigning Dutch Eredivisie champions.
MLSsoccer.com suggests that Onyewu's relationship with Twente manager Michel Preud'homme, who managed him at Belgian club Standard Liege, is an overriding factor in the centre-half's likely arrival at De Grolsch Veste Stadium.
