AC Milan's Gattuso was out of order says Blackpool boss

AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso was way out of line when he clashed with Tottenham assistant Joe Jordan in last week's Champions League match at the San Siro.

They are the sentiments of Blackpool manager Ian Holloway who believes the Italian veteran acted outside the spirit of the game when he first grabbed Jordan by the throat and then headbutted him later.

Gattuso has been given a four-match ban by Uefa and Holloway said that the Spurs assistant reacted well to the treatment he received from the player when in the past he may have responded differently.

"How out of order was Mr Gattuso and how dignified was Joe Jordan with the whole thing?" Holloway said.

"If you knew Joe - he was Bristol City manager when I was a Bristol Rovers player - where he got that restraint from, I do not know!

"But he managed to control himself and I'm sure that is because of where he is and how he appreciates working with Harry (Redknapp) at that club."
