Alexandre Pato's injury-plagued season is sparking talk AC Milan could cash in on the youngster this summer. Chelsea failed to convince Milan to sell last summer, with the Rossoneri turning down a €58 million offer for the Brazilian and in turn securing the striker to a new deal in the aftermath.
However, Telelombardia says Pato's injury problems now have Milan rethinking their position, particularly with cash needed to overhaul an ageing squad.
Milan are desperate to land Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko, but do not have the spending power to meet the Germans' €40 million asking price. However, by selling Pato, Milan could bring the Bosnian to Italy and also strengthen other key areas in coach Leonardo's team.
