Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel has turned around the thinking at AC Milan.

After an injury plagued spell with the Rossoneri, Van Ginkel has suddenly become a first-choice for coach Pippo Inzaghi.

Such has been the Dutchman's form, he is being likened to former Blues star Frank Lampard in the Italian press and there is a rethinking at Milan over the player's situation.

Milan directors are now contemplating sounding out Chelsea over a new loan extension.
