Liverpool flop Mario Balotelli could potentially perform a sensational U-turn and re-join former club AC Milan this summer.

The Corriere dello Sport are suggesting that should Serb Sinisa Mihajilovic take over as manager of the San Siro club, as expected, Balotelli will make a shock return to the club he left less than 12 months ago.

After stepping down as Sampdoria manager during the week, it is widely tipped that 46-year old Mihajilovic will assume the role as head of the embattled club in the next few days.

Balotelli endured a miserable time on Merseyside this season, scoring just once from 15 league appearances.
