AC Milan are pushing AS Roma to open formal talks over a fee for Mattia Destro.
After defeat to Sassuolo last night, Milan's striker options are again being examined, with Destro emerging as a favoured target for this month's market.
Destro, himself, is eager to move on after finding himself frozen out at Roma over the past two months.
Milan chief Adriano Galliani has attempted to open talks with Roma for Destro since returning from his annual break in Brazil, but the Giallorossi management have so far stonewalled.
However, should Galliani come to the table with an offer in the region of €15 million, Roma's board will be prepared to talk.
