AC Milan president Berlusconi: Totti would've been good for us

AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi admits he would have loved to have signed Roma captain Francesco Totti.

"Totti would be very good with us," said Berlusconi, "but the clubs won't sell their great symbols.

"The exception was Alessandro Nesta, though Lazio made their choice for market reasons."

He added: "Alessandro del Piero appeared to be leaving Juventus at one stage, so I acted. Otherwise I would have respected the club."
