AC Milan are considering a surprise bid for Arsenal contract rebel Robin van Persie.
The Daily Mail says Milan president Silvio Berlusconi set his heart on signing Van Persie when the Dutchman dazzled against his side in the Champions League this season.
Berlusconi would not be happy to see him strengthen rivals Juventus and reportedly wants to sound out Van Persie about sitting out his Arsenal contract and joining on a free transfer next summer for a hefty salary.
Money for a transfer fee is currently tight at the San Siro after pulling out the stops to keep Thiago Silva at the club, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic's possible move to England or Spain would change the landscape.
