AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi was delighted to celebrate his birthday with Sunday's derby win.

"It was really a great gift," he beamed. "It wasn't just a present from Ronaldinho but from the whole team who honoured me with this great win.

"It wasn't a bad result was it? I want to congratulate all my players for the way they played with heart, strength and great determination."

Berlusconi finished with a sarcastic quip as journalists tried to suggest that he had demanded a say in team selection last night.

"Who picked the 11 on the pitch? Just as the years gone by the team was chosen by Mr Silvio B… Sorry I meant Ancelotti," he concluded with a grin.
