Juventus are ready to send Alberto Aquilani back to parent club Liverpool.
Sky Italia says Juve directors have decided they will not make the move permanent unless Liverpool drop their current asking price.
It was agreed at the beginning of the deal that Juve could sign Aquilani outright for €15 million.
AC Milan are keeping tabs on developments and see Aquilani as a replacement for unsettled veteran Andrea Pirlo.
