AC Milan midfield schemer Andrea Pirlo is out of both legs of their Champions League tie with Tottenham.
Pirlo has been ruled out for six weeks due to strained knee ligaments.
The midfielder has been sidelined since suffering a thigh strain against Roma on December 18 and was all set for his comeback from the start with Parma last night.
However, during the last training session on Friday he sprained his knee and tests showed there has also been ligament damage.
"The chief medic of AC Milan, Doctor Gianluca Melegati, confirms the tests on Andrea Pirlo showed a second degree strain of the collateral medial ligament in the right knee.
"The recovery process is expected to last around six weeks."
