AC Milan are eyeing a shock move for former Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago.

The 30 year-old is currently playing for Boca Juniors.

Olé says the Rossoneri have asked Boca for Gago's availability in the January transfer window.

They hope he can bring some much-needed experience to the midfield, helping 18-year-old Manuel Locatelli.

Gago had a season in Serie A with Roma in 2011/12.
