Tottenham face a battle to keep hold of Rafael van der Vaart.

The Daily Star says AC Milan are preparing a £13m offer for Van der Vaart.

The midfielder was left out of the club's Europa League squad. He hobbled off during Spurs' 5-1 defeat to Manchester City last month amid fears he had torn the hamstring in his left leg.

Tottenham later confirmed the injury and said they expected the Dutchman to be out for six weeks so manager Harry Redknapp decided to omit the 28-year-old from his squad for the Europa League group stages.
