AC Milan are turning to young striker Alberto Paloschi for this week's clash with Siena.

Paloschi is still a member of Milan's youth team and has been playing in the Viareggio youth tournament.

"That's the way football goes," Galliani said philosophically. "It just so happens that Alberto Gilardino picked up a trivial booking at the same time that Pato got injured while Pippo Inzaghi and Ronaldo are out.

"We have called Paloschi back from Viareggio and he is training with the first team.

"Gennaro Gattuso is a different matter. His problem isn't muscular, but we will have to listen to the medical team. I would like him to be back next Sunday."
