AC Milan have opened talks with Real Madrid for striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
Sportmediaset says Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani met with Real supremo Florentino Perez in Majorca last week.
Galliani asked first about a 12-month loan for Huntelaar and later discussed terms over a permanent deal for around £10 million. However, the Rossoneri face being outbid by Germany's Stuttgart, which have already tabled a £13 million offer for the Dutchman.
Huntelaar has already turned down an approach from Lyon.
