AC Milan have sounded out Chelsea about a price for Marco van Ginkel.

The young midfielder, after a difficult start, is now shining on-loan with Milan.

Dutch sources say the Rossoneri want to buy Van Ginkel outright and have opened talks with Chelsea over a fee.

The Blues' initial asking price is €11 million, which is deemed too steep by Milan.

For his part, Van Ginkel is open to staying with Milan next season.
