AC Milan have opened talks with Chelsea for Cesc Fabregas.

Milan's new power team Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli were in London over the weekend and attended Chelsea's triumph over Leicester City.

Tuttosport says their visit to Stamford Bridge resulted in negotiations kicking off over Cesc's proposed move in January.

While Milan coach Vincenzo Montella distanced the club from signing Cesc last week, it's claimed in Italy that was a smokescreen.

The Rossoneri still see the Spaniard as the ideal replacement for knee injury victim Riccardo Montolivo.
