AC Milan are closing in on FC Twente goalkeeper Nikolay Mihaylov.

The Bulgaria international has rebuilt his career in Holland after struggling at Liverpool and TMW says such has been his form that Milan are seeking first refusal on the 23 year-old.

Milan management haven't decided whether to sign Mihaylov for January, or wait until the summer, but they're attempting to close an option with Twente leading up to the winter market.

For his part, Mihaylov has always spoken about returning to Liverpool and has stated the Reds, for now, have first refusal on him should he be made available by Twente.
