AC Milan midfielder Riccardo Montolivo is convinced they can have a successful season.
Milan go into the campaign under new coach Vincenzo Montella.
“We're trying to put his [Montella's] ideas into practice," Montolivo explained to Milan TV.
“Playing possession, playing between the lines, trying not to give reference points. It seemed too easy against Sassuolo and we made mistakes [losing 2-3 from 2-0 up]. We have to work with our heads down.
“I think there have been a lot of good things, then there have been some mistakes too. We have to improve our condition. The Coach was satisfied and we have to continue like this.
“There's conviction on everyone's part for what we're doing and what the Coach is trying to give us. We need to make the leap."
