AC Milan midfielder Riccardo Montolivo is fed-up with the negativity around the club.

The former Fiorentina captain is determined to silence the doomsayers.

"The cynicism being created around Milan is like that which was placed on the national side in the summer," said Montolivo.

"We changed people's opinions at the time by listening to our Coach and by having faith in our abilities. We need to do the same here.

"Milan are not what people are saying we are."
