AC Milan midfielder Boateng disappointed about Roma fine

AC Milan midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng was disappointed with the size of the fine for AS Roma over racist chanting from their fans on Sunday.

Roma were fined €50,000 for the behaviour of their fans during the 0-0 draw with Milan.

Boateng said: "What happened on Sunday was really sad. A fine isn't enough, I'm sorry for Roma the club and their fans, but in my view it is too small a figure.

"I spoke to the referee and asked if he could hear the monkey noises. He said yes and the next time he heard them, he'd suspend the match. He made a courageous choice. It is important to fight these things."
