AC Milan matchwinner Seedorf: We can catch Inter

AC Milan matchwinner Clarence Seedorf insists they can beat Inter to the title after his injury-time strike against Chievo Verona.

His 91st minute screamer beat Chievo 1-0 this evening and put the Rossoneri within a point of the Serie A leaders.

“I am very happy because it was really tough tonight,” confessed the Dutch midfielder.

“We played to win, although Chievo made it difficult for us at every turn. We made an important step to close the gap and now Inter know we are only a point away.”

It was a much-needed boost after Wednesday’s 4-0 Champions League humiliation by Manchester United.

“This team knows how to react to difficulty and admittedly seeing Inter lose 3-1 at Catania on Friday helped us to shake off the Champions League hangover.

“We will fight to the bitter end for the Scudetto. Next week we take on a tough side like Napoli, but must continue pushing and things will get very interesting at the top of the table.”
