AC Milan are exploring the sensational prospect of taking Fabio Cannavaro off Juventus' hands after the World Cup. The Italy captain is coming off contract at Juve and all signs are that he will need to leave Turin to extend his playing career.
La Stampa says Cannavaro's agent, Gaetano Fedele, has had contact with Milan about the prospect of moving to the San Siro and discussed the proposal with the defender on the weekend.
Milan management would seek to rotate Cannavaro and new signing Mario Yepes, 34, at the back alongside first-choice defenders Alessandro Nesta and Thiago Silva.
Cannavaro, who is also wanted by Parma, will delay any decision until Italy's World Cup campaign is over.
