AC Milan legend Andriy Shevchenko was emotional recalling his time with Cesare Maldini.

Maldini passed away on the weekend.

His funeral service was held on Tuesday attended by notable Rossoneri figures past and present.

“It's a really difficult time, my condolences to the Maldini family," Shevchenko told reporters outside the church.

“He was a great. A great Coach, a great person and a great father to all of us. Above all I'm sorry."
