AC Milan legend Pippo Inzaghi is excited about taking the job at Lega Pro Venezia.
Inzaghi says he cannot wait to start training with his new squad.
“I would start tomorrow and not go on vacation but they told me that it isn't possible," Inzaghi said at his initial press conference on Wednesday. “To be away from the football grounds has been painful for me. I can't be without football.
“I met with different squads in higher divisions as well as Chinese clubs, but when Venezia called me, I had no doubts. They assured me that some great players will arrive. I know that we will have the spotlight placed on us.
“I know all the Lega Pro players," he added. “It has been an addiction of mine since I was a player. We know that this [transfer market] will be our greatest problem. We will have eyes on everyone and I hope to return to Serie A with Venezia.
“We have a president [Joe Tacopina] who is ready for the Champions League."
