AC Milan legend Alessandro Nesta has hopes of a coaching career.

Nesta has announced his retirement at Montreal Impact.

"The future? I'd like to coach Real Madrid one day [laughs]. I want to stay in Canada for a while yet, and I'll finish my badges next year.

"Where will I coach? I don't know yet. Let's see."
