AC Milan legend Paolo Maldini has told Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos he can match his success. Maldini is a big fan of Ramos and despite the Spain international's form drop-off over the last 12 months, the Italian insists he has what's needed to become the best in the world.

"Sure, why not? Sergio has it all: he has speed, power, technique and is playing in a big club, as I did at Milan. Madrid is like Milan, has a history, honors, traditions and a great team," said Maldini.

"Sergio has all the conditions for success there, also is young and has time. I see no problem for him to reach my level.

"All I can say is that I learned something every day. No matter how old you are and many titles you win, you have to think always to improve, to grow as a player every day."
