AC Milan legend Billy Costacurta believes president Silvio Berlusconi wants to dump coach Massimiliano Allegri.

Berlusconi was due to meet with Milan chiefs today to discuss Allegri, but he is currently in Sardinia and will be flying to Georgia on Friday for Kakha Kaladze's testimonial match.

"The news that the meeting has been cancelled is very enigmatic," insisted Costacurta on Sky Sport Italia.

"I didn't think up until today that Allegri's departure was so certain, but now we've got to understand why President Berlusconi didn't want to leave Sardinia.

"Knowing Berlusconi, I think he's not coming back because he wants to get rid of Allegri and no longer wants to even speak to him.

"I get the impression Allegri is done with Milan. He was Galliani's choice and a visceral character, so I think only a clash of personalities could have taken them to this point."
