AC Milan legend Franco Baresi admits they needed their Champions League victory over Marseille this week.
"In the Champions League AC Milan is transformed, and if they play like that, they're a match for the top six or seven teams of Europe," said Baresi.
"This success is very important and, when needed, AC Milan always turns to a young man named Filippo Inzaghi."
Asked about the Milan defence, Baresi added: "Thiago Silva is doing well with Alessandro Nesta. He is young, but very strong and safe."
