AC Milan legend Franco Baresi believes Leonardo's team are capable of beating Inter to the title this season.

The Rossoneri currently lie second in Serie A, just four points behind their rivals.

"The win in stoppage time against Fiorentina has been very important and right now Inter have to look with greater attention at Milan and not Roma," Baresi told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Milan will not give up until the end, of that I am sure. In the last few months Milan have changed gear and it has happened above all thanks to its attacking potential, which is enormous.

"I have to mention Pato here. You can't disregard a talent of his nature. Dunga should think again ahead of the World Cup.

"Pato has incredible quality and the goal he scored in Florence is the latest demonstration of his worth. Sure, there is support from Ronaldinho who is doing extraordinary things and has returned to the highest level. But I am looking more towards the young players.

"Pato and Balotelli should be protected in every way because the people who watch football get enthusiastic when they see tricks, fantasia and talent."
