AC Milan keeper Donnarumma: We wanted to win for tormented Montella

AC Milan goalkeeper Gigio Donnarumma has dedicated victory over Sassuolo to coach Vincenzo Montella.

Montella went into the game under huge pressure - which was acknowledged by Donnarumma.

He said, "It was very important to do well and win. Fundamental to us and to the coach who has been a bit tormented, this is a victory for him.

"I'm happy, I've been through a difficult and unlucky time, but I've always remained calm and I have always worked hard."

The match marked 80 appearances in Serie A with Milan for Donnarumma, who concluded: "I saw the statistics and I was amazed too. I'm delighted to play here, it is always an indescribable emotion."
