AC Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati wants to play his way back into the Italy squad.
The Milan goalkeeper, who is not even assured of a first team shirt at San Siro, is hoping for an Azzurri recall on the eve of Prandelli's unveiling tomorrow.
"I ended my rapport with the national side when Roberto Donadoni was in charge," the former Torino and Juventus custodian noted.
"I didn't want to be the third-choice 'keeper. I preferred to train with Milan rather than going away for 10 days and then sitting in the stands.
"However, had Marcello Lippi called me during the last two years then I would have happily responded to the call.
"And if Prandelli picks me then I'll run to join the squad."
