AC Milan intensify Ajax contact for Suarez

AC Milan are intensifying contact with Ajax striker Luis Suarez.

Uruguayan sources say Milan have held a new round of talks with the Dutch club and Suarez's minders about a January move.

Milan had scouts follow Suarez during international week in South America and Ajax chiefs have publicly declared they would be prepared to sell in midseason for the right price.

Suarez is viewed at Milan as a direct replacement for Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, who has failed to settle since his summer arrival from Real Madrid.

I would wait, We have not given huntelaar enough time. But Suarez would be a good replacement for inzaghi cause he is almost to retire.

If true, it's great that the team is looking at Suarez, but I think Huntelaar needs more playing time...Huntelaar has scored wherever he has gone...so lets see what happens. It hasn't been even half a season since his arrival.

I agree with the first poster. It would be great to have Suarez, Dzeko, Pato, and Inzaghi - and in the future, swap Paloschi for Inzaghi when he retires. That means selling Huntelaar and Borriello.
