AC Milan have offered midfielder Alexander Merkel to Manchester City.

The Daily Mail says Milan have offered Germany Under 20 midfielder Merkel, 19, as a makeweight in their bid to sign Manchester City's Carlos Tevez.

The Italians have agreed terms with Tevez but are still not close to agreeing an appropriate transfer package.
