AC Milan will make a formal attempt to prise Didier Drogba away from Chelsea this summer.

Corriere dello Sport says Milan see Drogba as a heavyweight partner for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

With a year to run on his current deal, Milan believe they can convince Chelsea to cash in.

For their part, Chelsea are expected to offer Drogba new terms, though everything is in limbo at the moment with no manager nor football director yet appointed.
