Former AC Milan fullback Gianluca Zambrotta says coach Siniisa Mihajlovic needs time.

Mihajlovic is under pressure after Milan's thrashing by Napoli.

Zambrotta told TMW: "Milan changed coach and spent so much in the market, they have new and young players, especially in defence. Just think of Ely and Romagnoli: Mihajlovic has to have patience, but I know he knows this.

"Then on Sunday, however, is something else, they need a few years before returning to the highest levels. They needed a Thiago Silva in defence, they have taken important players up front, in midfield there is a mix of experience and youth, but behind they needed a big name."
