AC Milan hero Gianluca Zambrotta is disappointed Paolo Maldini won't be part of the new regime.

Maldini has announced he won't be joining the Sino-Europe plans.

Zambrotta said: “Maldini? He could make a contribution, I'd already realised that he'd say 'no', but he's someone that can give so much to Italian football, behind a desk.

“It's another shame not to see Presidents like Berlusconi and Moratti in the game anymore."
