AC Milan going to Portsmouth, all guns blazing

AC Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti said his side will be heading to England with victory in mind but will be wary of a talented Portsmouth outfit.

AC Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti said his side will be heading to England with victory in mind but will be wary of a talented Portsmouth outfit.

“We came here to pick up at least a point that will allow us to qualify. We don't know a great deal about Portsmouth, but we studied them during the week,” explained the Coach ahead of tomorrow's UEFA Cup clash.

“We do know Peter Crouch, who is a player with good qualities. It is an interesting stadium, a really old-style English arena, but the pitch is in good shape and we can see a good game.

“It isn't the same space we are used to in the big stadiums we've played in the past, but that changes nothing for us, because we are happy to have new experiences.”

Ancelotti said there could be a few changes to his squad, but confirmed that Brazilian star Kaka will make the trip to Fratton Park.

“A few players will rest, others will come off the bench, but there will be a competitive side.

“Ronaldinho is doing well, but will not start the match. Kaka will be there. He is the symbol of Milan and we cannot imagine him playing anywhere else.”
