AC Milan are set to make a late move for Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli. With Real Madrid ace Kaka shutting the door on a Milan return this morning, Corriere dello Sport says the Serie A champs will table an offer for Balotelli before tomorrow night's transfer deadline.
Balotelli has found himself on the outer at City since the start of the season and Milan are convinced they can persuade the English giants to sell - particularly if Carlos Tevez is staying.
Meanwhile, Milan have made contact with Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra.
With Mathieu Flamini out for five months due to a knee injury and Rino Gattuso suspended for the first four games of the Champions League, Milan are desperate to find midfield cover before the market shuts.
