AC Milan GM Adriano Galliani is adamant they won't lose Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Donnarumma cannot sign a senior contract until he turns 18 next year.
"I think he'll be the heir to [Gigi] Buffon in the national team, though Buffon is still a great goalkeeper," Rossoneri CEO Galliani told Tiki Taka.
“I hope and I'm convinced that he'll be a Milan player for many years to come.
“The young squad? It was an idea that came to us when we realised it was no longer tenable to compete with the revenues of the other top clubs.
“If we wanted to get back to the top, the only way to do that was with the youngsters and we started what you're seeing today.
“Today, unfortunately, €100m players can no longer be bought by Italian clubs."
