AC Milan are ready to take control of Stephan El Shaarawy's contract.

The midfielder is at Milan in co-ownership with Genoa.

Rossoblu chief Enrico Preziosi held talks with the Rossoneri on Sunday night where an agreement was reached in principle.

It is also understood that Milan and Genoa discussed the future of Rossoneri midfielder Alexander Merkel who is co-owned between the two clubs too.
