AC Milan fullback Ignazio Abate admits Suso has surprised his teammates this season.

The Spanish midfielder has thrived under coach Vincenzo Montella.

And Abate stated: "Nobody expected this Suso, you have to be honest.

"You have to give credit to this guy who went to Genoa and has established himself, he has made good performances and came back much more mature.

"We are all growing, but we must not be satisfied because the road is still long. If we go wrong and lose 2-3 matches we'll be back where we started, the season is still long."
