AC Milan have formally offered to refund season tickets to disgruntled fans.

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani made the offer last week as fans began protesting their massive summer clearout.

"Milan has confirmed its readiness to dissolve agreements for season tickets for the first team's home games for 2012-13, under conditions specified and inside a specific time period," a statement read.

"Milan firmly reiterates that this willingness is dictated by the need for style and love of the club towards its supporters and independent of any legal analysis. Milan, on the contrary believes that the [lawsuit filed] is without foundation."
