Manchester City have joined the interest for Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen.
The exciting Denmark international is a January target for AC Milan, though is reluctant to leave Ajax in midseason.
Milan-based Sport Mediaset says Milan's fresh interest has alerted City, which are now actively seeking talks with Eriksen's camp about his plans.
Also in the background are Liverpool, where football chief Damien Comolli will move for the youngster should they fail to prise Eden Hazard away from Lille.
Milan's sudden push have forced both City and Liverpool to bring forward plans to go for Eriksen in next summer's transfer window.
