AC Milan find Celtic's Boruc too pricey

AC Milan have dropped their interest in Artur Boruc after admitting the highly-rated Celtic goalkeeper is out of their price league.

Celtic's demands have priced Milan out of the race for Boruc only two weeks after general manager Ariedo Braida sung the praises of the Polish international.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti said: "I wanted to bring Boruc to Milan about a year ago but now the price is too high.

"Milan cannot afford Boruc. We made some efforts but it did not happen and now I have three goalkeepers, in any case."

The news leaves the path clear for Arsenal to make an offer with Arsene Wenger understood to have been impressed with the 28-year-old's performance against Germany on Sunday.
